By submitting an entry, you confirm that the information, photography, and project details provided are accurate; that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit them; and that you agree to the guidelines and terms outlined below.

Submission Checklist

Before submitting your entry:

1. Review the category descriptions and select the best category for your project.

2. Confirm that the project meets all eligibility requirements.

3. Gather two to eight high-resolution photographs, including full-treatment and close-up images.

4. Confirm that you have all necessary photography and project permissions.

5. Prepare your written project statement.

6. Remove identifying names, logos, or business information from materials used for anonymous judging.

7. Complete all required fields in the online entry form.

8. Review your submission carefully for accuracy.

9. Submit the $50 nonrefundable entry fee / $60 if entering after October 16, 2026.

Entries are not considered complete until all required materials and payment have been received. Once submitted, entries may not be edited unless Window Fashion VISION requests additional information or corrections.

Who Can Enter?

The Grace Awards are open to professionals in the custom window treatment industry, including designers, decorators, artisans, workrooms, fabricators, and other qualified professionals who design or create custom window fashions.

​

Design Categories

Design categories are open to individual designers and decorators who design window fashions, including designers who operate their own workrooms.
 

Design entries should highlight the overall design concept, client needs, aesthetics, functionality, room integration, creativity, and finished visual impact of the project.

​

Artisan Categories

Artisan categories are open to workrooms, fabricators, and individuals who create or fabricate window fashions.

Artisan entries must be submitted by the workroom, fabricator, or individual responsible for creating the treatment.

 

A designer may not submit an Artisan entry on behalf of a workroom unless the designer was also responsible for the fabrication.
 

Artisan entries should highlight craftsmanship, construction, technical execution, fabrication challenges, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
 

Project Eligibility​

To be eligible:

• Projects must have been completed and installed, if applicable, within 24 months of the final entry deadline.

• Entries must represent original work completed by the entrant or entrant's business.

• Projects previously published in Window Fashion VISION or another trade or consumer magazine are not eligible.

• Projects previously featured in brochures, catalogs, advertising campaigns, product collateral, or similar promotional materials are not eligible.

• Each project may be entered only once and in one category.

• The same project may not be entered in both the Design and Artisan competitions.

• Entries should be submitted in the category that best represents the project and the entrant's role in the work.

Window Fashion VISION reserves the right to reassign an entry to a more appropriate category, request additional information, or disqualify an entry that does not meet eligibility or category requirements.

Entry Fees & Limits

Regular Pricing: $60 per submission beginning October 16, 2026 through the close of submissions.

All entry fees are nonrefundable.

​

Each entrant may submit a maximum of five different projects.

​

Entry fees will not be refunded for incomplete entries, withdrawals, incorrect category selections, or entries disqualified for failure to meet competition requirements.

Choosing a Category

Please review all category descriptions before beginning the online submission process and select the category that best represents your project.

​

Your written project statement should clearly demonstrate how the entry aligns with the selected category.

​

If an entry does not appropriately align with its selected category, Window Fashion VISION may reassign the entry, request clarification, or remove it from consideration.

​

How Entries Are Judged

Entries are reviewed anonymously by a panel of experienced design-industry professionals.

​

Projects are evaluated based on the submitted photography and written project statement. Depending on the category, judges may consider:

• Design concept and visual impact

• Creativity and originality

• Cohesiveness of design elements

• Functionality and response to client needs

• Craftsmanship and attention to detail

• Technical execution

• Problem-solving and project complexity

• Relevance to the selected category

• Overall quality of the completed project

To preserve anonymous judging, do not include your name, business name, logo, client name, or other identifying information in your project statement or submitted images whenever possible.

​

All judging decisions are final.

​

Photography Requirements

Photography is an important part of your submission and should clearly showcase the quality of your work.

​

Each entry must include:

• A minimum of two and maximum of eight photographs

• At least one full-room or full-treatment image

• At least one close-up image highlighting important details

• High-resolution JPG files suitable for judging and publication

• Recommended resolution of 300 dpi or approximately 2700 x 3450 pixels

​

Images should be well lit, properly focused, and professional in quality. Blurry, dark, heavily filtered, low-resolution, or otherwise difficult-to-evaluate images may affect judging or may not be considered.

​

Standard adjustments such as cropping, exposure, and color correction are permitted. Images may not be altered in a way that changes the design, adds or removes project elements, conceals flaws, or otherwise misrepresents the completed work.

​

Photography Rights & Permissions

By submitting photography, you confirm that you have the legal right and necessary permissions to submit and share the images.

​

Entrants are responsible for securing any required permissions from photographers, clients, homeowners, businesses, designers, workrooms, installers, vendors, or other parties involved in the project.

​

Copyrighted photography may only be submitted when the entrant has obtained appropriate permission for Window Fashion VISION, The Grace Awards, and IWCE to use the images.

​

By submitting an entry, you grant Window Fashion VISION, The Grace Awards, and IWCE permission to publish, display, reproduce, edit for layout, promote, and archive submitted photography and project information in print, digital, web, email, social media, event, editorial, and promotional materials related to the competition and its programs.

​

Submission materials will not be returned.

​

Your Project Statement

Every entry must include a written project statement explaining why the project deserves recognition.

​

Your statement is an important part of the judging process. Use it to tell the story behind the finished project and provide context that may not be immediately apparent from the photography.

​

Consider addressing:

• The inspiration behind the project

• The client's needs or goals

• Design or fabrication challenges

• How challenges were solved

• Special materials, trims, hardware, or techniques

• Motorization or technology incorporated into the project

• Unique design or construction decisions

• How the treatment enhanced the space

• What makes the project exceptional within its category

Be specific and compelling. Help the judges understand not only what they are seeing, but why the project stands out.

Do not include identifying information in your statement.

​

Finalists and winners may be asked to provide additional project details, photography, quotes, interviews, or other information for editorial and promotional purposes.

​

Awards & Recognition

First- and second-place awards may be presented within each category.

​

Eligible entries may also be considered for additional honors, including:

• Designer of the Year

• Artisan of the Year

• VISION's Pick Award

​

Window Fashion VISION reserves the right to determine final award titles, the number of awards presented, and whether an award will be presented in a particular category based on the quantity and quality of eligible submissions.

​

Winner Benefits

All winners are invited to attend The Grace Awards ceremony during IWCE 2027 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, Florida.

​

Winners may receive recognition through Window Fashion VISION magazine, the Grace Awards Lookbook, wf-vision.com, IWCE, social media, email, and other editorial and promotional platforms.

​

Award of Excellence recipients will receive an All-Access Exclusive Pass to IWCE 2028.

​

Winners will also receive two complimentary print copies of the Window Fashion VISION issue featuring their winning project, when applicable. Prizes have no cash value and may not be transferred, exchanged, or substituted unless otherwise approved by Window Fashion VISION.

Winner Responsibilities

Finalists and winners may be asked to provide additional high-resolution photography, project information, business details, headshots, quotes, interviews, or other materials needed for publication and promotion.

​

By entering The Grace Awards, you agree that, if selected as a finalist or winner, Window Fashion VISION may use your name, business name, submitted photography, project description, and related information for editorial, promotional, marketing, social media, email, and event purposes.

​

Entrants are responsible for ensuring that all submitted names, credits, project information, and other details are accurate.

​

Disqualification

Window Fashion VISION reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with The Grace Awards 2027 guidelines and terms.

​

Reasons for disqualification may include, but are not limited to:

• Incomplete submissions

• Ineligible or previously published projects

• Duplicate project submissions

• Submission of the same project in multiple categories

• Misrepresentation of project ownership or the entrant's role

• Lack of required photography rights or permissions

• Copyright concerns

• Material alteration or misrepresentation of project photography

• Identifying information that compromises anonymous judging

• Failure to provide requested information

• Any action that compromises the fairness or integrity of the competition

Window Fashion VISION reserves the right to make final determinations regarding eligibility, category placement, judging, awards, and publication.
